july 2006

the beginning of july started off in sydney australia at the hillsong conference once again with the delirious boys. These guys are keeping me busy at the minute, and taking me all over the world with them. we had 2 pretty hectic days there, and then a really nice morning off wandering around the harbour area with matt and lee (picture below). we flew back via the usa for a show in wisconsin where we were all terribly jet-lagged but up for anything.

the following week we played in ukraine, latvia and then the olympic stadium in berlin where only 1 week earlier the world cup final had been held. we were a bit gutted when we got there to find out the pitch turf had already been sold on ebay, and had been replaced by sand.

The following week, july 17 i mixed allan ellingsgaard's album, which i'm really pleased with, before setting off again with the d boys to the czech republic where i met up briefly with my good friend klara from the worship plannet band.

the end of july we were back out in the states for a run of 5 shows in texas including headlining the rock the desert festival where we soundchecked in the morning only to have a huge thunder storm and the show got cancelled. we got soaked through trying to save the gear from the water drenched stage but we managed it. it all worked the following evening.
