april 2007

the first week of april i was still tracking with the harbour lights guys at icc in eastbourne. we finished tracking on the 3rd and on thursday 5th i headed over to esselle studios in brighton to record a vocal with matt redman for the new paul baloche album. we had a great time together. we hadn't seen each other for a while so it was great to catch up. matt is a great worship leader but more than that he lives out what he believes. its not just a job its a lifestyle with matt. a true worshipper.

the following week i was back in at icc with marc james and his band vera cruz working on an album for norwegian worship leader rudi myntevik. we spent 5 days together, tracking drums, bass, guitars, keys and some vocals. we also had Lucy payne bring her cello down for a day and recorded a great live track where we lit the room with candles, had marc on his acoustic, rudi on acoustic and vocal and lucy on cello. one of those great studio moments.

The harbour lights album was mixed in my loft the following week, finishing on the friday evening, and on the saturday i was back at icc studio 2 this time with northern ireland band crave who had come over for 10 days to begin work on their second album. They are great guys to hang out with. that took me up to may 2nd, and i'm about to begin probably one of my busiest months ever. In May I'm off to Italy with Delirious for a day, then South Korea, hong kong, japan and the philipines with matt redman and then canada and the usa with delirious again. my body clock will be all over the place and i have rudi's album to mix in between times. should be a lot of fun though.
